ASIA & MALDIVES FINE DINING MICHELIN TOUR BY PRIVATE JET

This vast continent never ceases to inspire us. From Tokyo and Shanghai in the east, to New Delhi and the Arabian Peninsula in the west, the creativity and fusion of food and culture is mind blowing. We love the Michelin scene in Asia, the variety of traditions and styling of food is incredible, and service is amongst the best in the world.

There are so many different cities and restaurant choices to consider when touring in Asia. To give you some food for thought, we have selected four of our favourite cities with two restaurant options in each, just to show how an itinerary may look for you.

The Maldives or Dubai can also be included should you wish to extend the tour.

MICHELIN RESTAURANTS IN HONG KONG

Hong Kong is a great city, regarded by most who visit as a truly unique experience. It is vibrant 24/7 and, in our opinion, it is the food capital of Asia. There are seventy-one Michelin star restaurants showcasing many different cuisines, seafood, Korean, French, Italian, sushi, Indian and Japanese.

We love the luxury of the Peninsula Hotel with its rooftop helideck. Perfect for the transfer in the morning to the Jet.

T’ANG COURT (3*) - LANGHAM HOTEL - HONG KONG

One of the city’s finest Cantonese restaurants. Specialities include Peking duck, baked stuffed crab shell and stir fry lobster. There is a daily “fresh from the market” menu featuring an array of fish and shellfish.

The Dim Sum is excellent too, including scallop shrimp and garlic dumplings and wagyu beef, onion and walnut pastries.

Opening its doors to Hong Kong’s gourmands and visitors for over thirty years, T’ang court is an institution within the city.

LUNG KING HEEN (3*) - FOUR SEASONS HOTEL - HONG KONG

This is Cantonese cooking at its finest. The roast Peking duck is reason enough to dine here, wok-fried Wagyu with morels and peppers, crispy oysters, steamed cuttlefish, simmered lobster in crystal sauce, the kitchen repertoire is fantastic. There is a great dim sum menu too.

Under Chef Chan Yan Tak, Lung King Heen was the world’s first Chinese restaurant to be awarded three stars and has held them every year since

Sitting on Hong Kong Island, the restaurant has great views over Victoria harbour to Kowloon.

MICHELIN RESTAURANTS IN SINGAPORE

There’s not much to dislike about Singapore. It is one of the safest cities in the world, a dream environment for visitors with fantastic hotels and so much to see and do. The food scene is a real reflection of its multicultural heritage and with fifty-two Michelin starred restaurants to choose from, we could stay here for a week!

There are many excellent hotels in the city, we really like The Fullarton overlooking Marina Bay, and the quintessential Raffles Hotel.

ODETTE (3*) - SINGAPORE

Julien Royer has created one of the worlds finest restaurants in Odette. A brilliant menu, ever changing to introduce new elements and dishes. Impeccably sourced produce including lobster, crab, oysters, veal, lamb and pigeon. This is Asian influenced classic French cuisine beautifully presented.

The wine list has a firm leaning to the french classics from, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone and the Alsace with a calming restaurant environment featuring stunning table settings and local artwork.

Royer founded Odette in 2015 and the restaurant is housed in the city’s national gallery. It has sat proudly as the No. 1 restaurant in the World's top 50 Asian establishments.

SAINT PIERRE (2*) - SINGAPORE

“Fusion cooking at a different level” is how one critique described the culinary skills on display at Saint Pierre. His Nemuro crab with red pepper is delicious as is the Japanese Omi beef tournedo.

Gaining its second star in 2019 Saint Pierre is in an elite group of Singaporean restaurants that deliver exceptional food and service.

Emmanuel Stroobant gained his culinary expertise working with some of the finest chefs in the world learning the classic French techniques, and then moved to Asia. His ability to create fusion dishes of superb quality is at the heart of his menu.

MICHELIN RESTAURANTS IN BANGKOK

A fantastic city that never sleeps and it is not widely recognised as a centre for fine dining. However, it has thirty Michelin starred restaurants that offer excellent fusion cooking. Ducasse and Roux are both running starred restaurants here also.

So the choices of where to eat in Bangkok are numerous, and we do like to include the fantastic Jay Fai, a legendary street food vendor who also holds a Michelin star.

In such a vibrant city we like to be down by the river in the two best hotels with views of the Chao Phraya, The Siam, and the Mandarin Oriental.

MEZZALUNA 2* BANGKOK

Chef Ryuki Kawasaki’s culinary philosophy is simple – “when you start with the finest ingredients in the world, you don’t need to do much to make them shine” The seven-course seasonal tasting menu is a fusion of French and Japanese cuisines and is beautifully prepared and presented by this excellent kitchen team.

The pan seared duck foie gras with five spice, ginger confit, Muscat and caramel jus is outstanding. The chocolate dessert with soft biscuits, ganache and soy sauce ice cream is masterful, the combination of flavours is just sublime.

Situated on the 65th floor of the Lebua Hotel, the restaurant is a blend of classic and modern styling. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows look out to a stunning cityscape and the Chao Phraya River.

JAY FAI (1*) - BANGKOK

The golden crispy crab omelette, a “dry” tom yum soup (hard to believe but it is delicious) and drunken noodles with shrimp are three of Jay Fai’s most popular dishes and they are fantastic.

The quality of the ingredients are excellent, her cookery skills superb, and everything is cooked over two blazing charcoal fires.

Now in her seventies, she has been cooking at the seven table Raan Jay Fai in this Old Bangkok location for over 40 years, and she is the sole cook.

FINE DINING RESTAURANTS IN NEW DELHI

New Delhi is a thriving cosmopolitan centre and it has been India’s capital city for over 100 years. It has a rich history and culture and showcases a wonderful insight into city life.

There are many excellent dining options and like Bangkok, Delhi has a fascinating street food business that feeds tens of thousands of locals every day, and is worth a visit when we stay here for two nights.

The Imperial Hotel and Lodhi Hotel both rate highly on luxury, and come with the best service.

INDIAN ACCENT - DELHI

If Michelin rated restaurants in India, this would be a two star. Smoked duck shammi with barbery chutney, crab with braised garlic, pulled pork black bean and sweet onion curry, and a brilliant vegetarian menu including a delicious saag tart with tossed vegetables, almond and makhana.

Excellent wine pairings on most of the menus, and a knowledgeable sommelier, it is not always easy to match wine with highly spiced food.

Voted San Pellegrino’s best restaurant in India for seven consecutive years, Conde Nast best in India, and also ranked 22nd in Asia’s best restaurants for 2022, this is a must visit when in New Delhi.

STREET FOOD - DELHI

Until you have experienced street food in Delhi it is hard to describe just how good it is. The choice is quite frankly hard to take in, although the constant here is always fresh foods, and to quote a well-used fine dining phrase “a la minute” piping hot, and delicious.

There are of course those that have the best reputations, and with our Delhi born expert guides who have an intimate knowledge of the finest cooks in the city, we only visit the best on a well informed guided stroll through the markets.

THE MALDIVES OR DUBAI TO FINISH THE TOUR WITH SOME LUXURIOUS RELAXATION AND FUN?

RELAXATION IN THE MALDIVES

Taking the jet south to Malé, you can enjoy a private island or private yacht charter in the Maldives to de-stress after all that strenuous flying, and culinary indulgence.

We offer two options in the Maldives, a sea plane transfer to the Noonu Atoll and the Velaa Private Island, or, alternatively, a tender transfer to your private yacht.

Both set the luxury bar at the very highest level and offer exactly the rejuvenation that the body and mind deserve.

(We have a number of yachts available from 31 metres to 64 metres all subject to availability).

RELAXATION IN DUBAI

We can take the jet west to Dubai and check in to either the Armani or Versace hotels to wind down after all that dining, fine wine and travel.

Situated in downtown Dubai in the world’s tallest tower, the Armani Hotel offers sweeping views across the city and the Arabian Gulf. Uber cool, beautifully appointed rooms and with a great pool deck also.

Palazzo Versace sits waterfront on Dubai Creek and is just a few minutes from downtown and the Dubai Mall. The suites are more traditional, very spacious and comfortable.

Both hotels offer unparalleled luxury, with magnificent suites, spa’s, dining, bars and entertainment. The duration of your stay is entirely your choice.
